OUR MISSION IS TO BE DISCIPLES OF JESUS WHO MAKE DISCIPLES.

We make disciples by:

  • Being a converted people.

  • Being a people of prayer and worship.

  • Living life together in community.

  • Practicing Hospitality.

  • Going out in mission.

Our story began in 2005 through the missionary efforts of the Anglican Church in Rwanda, who played a significant role in the renewing of the Anglican expression of Christianity in North America. Encouraged by the church in Rwanda we were planted in Norfolk and called to bear fruit in our communities for the glory of God.

We are relationally focused. As Disciples, we’ve experienced this truth: We are formed over time in community as we follow Jesus. Hospitality is essential to transformation on Sundays, in our Life Groups, and in our homes.

We are missionally minded. As a church, our mission is to be disciples who make disciples of others. It’s the incredible purpose that God’s given his people. Today, this means our members are transformed by the Holy Spirit as we gather in community and worship and are sent out to our families or primary  friend groups, our neighbors and coworkers locally and to the ends of the earth to make disciples of others in the power of the Holy Spirit.

There’s more to this story. The best way to discover it is to join us as we follow Jesus. If you’d like to read more, download Christ the Redeemer — A detailed history here.
