Week of October 25

Dear Friends,
Here are some things going on at Christ the Redeemer:
First Annual Chili Bowl—This Saturday, October 24th!  We hope you will all join us for Christ the Redeemer’s First Annual Chili Bowl!  We will meet at the covered picnic area at Lafayette Park at 4:00 PM for a game of flag football, and afterwards we will head to the church for a Chili Supper and Cook-off at 6:00 PM.  You can come for one or both events, but mark your calendar because it’s sure to be a fun time!  Also, Jennifer will be at the church from 3:30-3:45 if you need to drop off a crockpot before the football game.  Please use this link to the evite to RSVP:  http://evite.me/rw5G7q3jHX
Our “Exploring Membership at Christ the Redeemer” class starts at the end of the month (Friday, October 30 7- 8:30 and Saturday, October 31, 9 am-1 pm). If you have questions about the class, or want to ‘sign up’ for it, please speak to Brian (revbriancampbell@gmail.com or 757-284-8246).
‘PEARUSA National Assembly’ is set for November 4-7 near Charlotte, NC.  Registration is now open at pearusaassembly.org.  The theme for the week is “Bear Much Fruit” and it promises to be a wonderful time of teaching, fellowship and encouragement. Check out the web site and register now.
Christmas Project Benefiting Park Place School  Starting this coming Sunday, we will be collecting items to make Christmas gift bags for the students at Park Place School. Please see the list of needed items located on the table under the “Mission” bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall and sign-up to bring an item (or two!). We need the items by November 15 so the Sunday School classes can put together the gift bags the Sunday before Thanksgiving. If you have any questions, contact Jennifer at brownie7506@yahoo.com.
Peace and joy to you all.
