*Change in Discipleship Hour for this Sunday*

Due to a family emergency, Joshua Matlack will not be able to teach the Discipleship Hour class this Sunday on “Personality and Service: Finding Your Place in Ministry.” The start date for this class will be moved to May 5th.

For those of you who were planning to attend Joshua’s class, please join us in the office space at 9:00am on Sunday to pray for Joshua’s nephew Sonnie and for his entire family.

All other Discipleship Hour classes will begin this Sunday. The Adult tracks being offered are:

“Growing Compassionate Kids”, led by Casey Reed and Temple Richardson. If you are a parent or caregiver, and have already attended Joshua’s class (mentioned above), this class is for you! The book Growing Compassionate Kids by Jan Johnson will be used as a guide throughout the class.

“Study of Philippians”, led by Father Brian Campbell. This class is for anyone who has already attended Joshua’s class. It does not require consistent attendance so drop in anytime!

The Youth track for Discipleship Hour will begin a seven week class focusing on the Catechism as  preparation  for Confirmation (which will take place either in June or in November this year). The Children’s Ministry will continue discovering God through the Jesus Storybook Bible.

Alpha Begins Tonight

Alpha with Janis and David begins tonight at 6:00pm. The team of volunteers is anticipating upwards of eight people who are willing and ready to explore the Christian faith together. Please be in prayer for the leaders and for the attendees, that those seeking the Truth would find Him in their midst!

Great Start for The Basics

We had a wonderful group show up for first session of The Basics on Tuesday. We discussed ways that parents can “Maximize Love, and Manage Stress”, and shared a delicious lunch together! Please pray for leaders, and for the two new moms and their kids who attended. Pray that as we learn how to help our children thrive, we would have a deeper appreciation and love for our Father who faithfully cares for us. Also, please continue to invite parents and caregivers; anyone is welcome to come to all, or just one of the sessions!

Celebrating Baptisms and New Members

In this glorious season of Resurrection, we have the privilege of celebrating three baptisms on Sunday! We will also be welcoming new members into our community through covenant membership. Alleluia!

Youth Cook Out

Calling all youth in grades 6th-12th! You and your family and friends are all invited to the Youth Cook Out on Sunday, May 5th, 4:00pm – 7:30pm. There will be lawn games, grilling out, and a fire pit with s’mores as we celebrate our graduates! Please RSVP through the Evite, and bring a side to share.

We have much to look forward to!

Christ is Risen! The Lord is risen indeed!
